Bringing movement and awareness, through breath, to these constricted areas will open them up to the natural healing power of our body’s own immune system. The body knows how to heal itself and only needs the right physical and emotional support. We allow the body to inform us as to what it needs in the way of support right now and then we move on to where it needs support next.

When we accept that the body knows how to heal itself, we then shift attention from the mind to the body. Listening to the messages from the body, we can begin to release the emotional charge that has resided in the body, often for many years. This also rewires the brain to connect to the body, through the heart, for coordinated, coherent, response to illness or dis-ease.

Releasing the residues of emotional trauma is a major step toward correcting the physical manifestation of pain and disease. The body is always waiting for us to listen, recognise, access and release these emotional residues from the body. It wants to release them.

Learning to listen to the body is the first step to receiving the wisdom of your body. The next step is having the courage to be with whatever comes up. Sometimes a child self will need to be rescued by you, I will guide you through that process. Or carefully guide you to bring the light in to shine in those dark places we rather not go. Our shadow side, to dissolve its power over you. Resulting in profound and lasting change. It is past, we can’t change it, but we can dissolve its power over us, responding instead of reacting.
