Residues of trauma pop up, usually unexpectedly, in the form of triggers, outbursts of violence, avoidance, projection, etc. which are all mirrors of things that happened to us and we continue to carry. Seeing and feeling how our lives have been shaped by events becomes our power to reclaim, heal and change.
The breath is the gateway to your truth within. You won’t experience it through the thinking mind. Only through allowing the body to communicate, can we connect with what is needed right now. Blissful awareness, revelation or something that needs attention. It is all stored in the body, waiting for a time when we relearn to connect and feel. If we try to think or reason our way through things, we get more stuck. Thinking and talking builds armour around a wound or problem, it doesn’t change anything. We must go into the body and connect with the feeling and allow our being to be informed by the intuitive wisdom available to us all.

This can be difficult for humans, as we are in possession of a very powerful, creative force in the form of our prefrontal cortex (frontal lobes or the analytical part of our brain). With power comes responsibility.
By engaging Conscious Connected Breathing, in a safe and held space, we can temporarily shut down the prefrontal cortex, (our analytical mind) and more effectively connect with just the feeling in the body. Here, we allow ourselves to be informed by the sensation and maintain a sense of curiosity, going deeper into the bodily archive. Trusting, that the body knows what it needs to do. When pain and dis-ease become chronic, the need has become urgent.
We all have very strong intuitive capabilities that are always there to help us. Remembering how to engage with these abilities in a safe and supportive environment is the gift that is offered. Right intention, seeking elevation with curiosity, to re-establish beneficial neural pathways, will bring profound and lasting life changes.
